Subjects: Health Care Assistant

Jocelyn has been a Licensed Practical Nurse since 2011 and has worked in many different areas of the hospital setting. Jocelyn has worked in BC and Ontario in inpatient orthopedic surgical, urology, medical, palliative care, ALC, and Transitional Care units. During that time, she enjoyed precepting/mentoring numerous students as they completed their practical nursing education. Jocelyn then moved on to teach in the Health Care Assistant program at NIC in 2019 teaching theory and clinical practice courses at the Campbell River and Comox Valley campuses.

Jocelyn loves mentoring the students during their time in the program. Watching the students' accomplishments and growth is extremely rewarding.

"I teach because there is excitement, joy and suspense in the journey." ~ Jessica Alber
