Prior to joining North Island College's Metal Fabricator and Welding programs at the Campbell River campus in 2019, I held positions in both industry and post-secondary education in Northern BC. I have a solid trades background in the steel industry as a hands-on dual ticketed Red Seal tradesperson. With over 9 years instructional experience and 2 years as an Associate Dean of Trades my students are my priority. As an educator I am committed to my students through continually refining program content and development to keep up with industry trends. I am actively involved with industry representatives to ensure NIC meets or exceeds the high standards of the Industry Training Authority and ensures students are given the tools for success in the work force, which is the main goal.
