Fall CR ElderCollege classes start soon

Campbell River ElderCollege classes begin soon.

A large crowd of prospective students and volunteer Course Leaders attended an information meeting on a recent Friday afternoon, hosted at North Island College by the Campbell River ElderCollege (CREC).

This was the start of the fall session of illuminating, perhaps inspiring and definitely entertaining courses that will take place in October, November and December.

The Advisory Committee of CREC introduced the course leaders, who explained their courses and answered questions from the crowd.

CREC provides a wide-ranging list of classes that include everything from using technology, understanding bird brains or learning to draw cartoons. Courses run anywhere from one to eight sessions, usually one session a week.

Students must be 50 years or older and purchase an annual membership at $10 per year. Course costs range from $10 to $30.
