NIC in the News: NIC Culinary students receive support from Comox Valley Farmers' Market Association

Twila Skinner (left front) general manager, Comox Valley Farmers’ Market Association presents North Vancouver Island Chefs Association (NVICA) president Lesley Stav with a bursary cheque for $1,000.

Junior North Vancouver Island Chefs Association members and NIC Culinary students (from left) Ivan Martinez, Yolanda MacLaren, Andrew Bouzane were awarded the bursary to attend the NVICA-sponsored charcuterie workshop, led by John Van Der Lieck, founder of Oyama Sausage Co., Vancouver. 

The bursary from the Farmers’ Market is given in recognition of the chef’s collaboration on the FoodFest events at the Farmers’ Market
