Comox-based painter and NIC sessional fine arts instructor Scott Bertram is part of a group exhibition Horizon Felt at the Campbell River Art Gallery .

The exhibition also features the work of fellow artists Dan Browne (Toronto, Ont.), Megan Dickie (Victoria, B.C.), Kym Greeley (St. John’s, Nfld.) and Jessica Houston (New York, U.S.).

Horizon Felt "presents the work of artists who draw on diverse media to focus on different ‘perspectives’ that challenge what is seen through the naked eye," and runs until Sept. 5, according to the gallery.

Also featured is Territorial Acknowledgements by artist Sonny Assu. According to the Campbell River Mirror, the exhibition "uses paintings gathered from thrift stores that depict romanticized visions of the Canadian landscape. Onto these images, Assu reasserts Indigenous presence, something that Canadian landscape paintings have typically erased or ignored."
