NIC Orientation preps students online for coming year

NIC is also finalizing plans for an in-person Orientation at the Mixalakwila campus this fall, in addition to the upcoming online sessions.

North Island College students can get the jump on the new school year with online orientation sessions starting later this month.

Mixalakwila students can learn about navigating NIC’s digital learning platforms, discover what supports are available to them to help them achieve success, and meet their Student Life and North Island Students’ Union teams. These will run from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m on Aug. 29, 30 and 31, as well as Sept. 12.

NIC is also holding free in-person events at campuses starting in September and will be releasing details about what will be happening at the Mixalakwila campus soon. These events will give new students a better idea of what supports and services are available to them.

Classes for the fall will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 5. Students can find more information about the in-person event or online sessions at www.nic.bc.ca/orientation. Anyone with questions should email Orientation@nic.bc.ca.
