Preventing & Responding to Sexual Violence Workshops: Active Bystander Intervention

NIC has joined Selkirk College and College of the Rockies to offer a series of free sexual violence awareness and prevention training workshops.

The Active Bystander Intervention Workshop is presented by College of the Rockies. This two-hour workshop is free for all NIC students. The training helps learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to recognize and intervene in an incident of sexual violence as well as discuss strategies for creating a safer campus community, using the 4D’s (Direct, Distract, Delegate, Delay) Active Bystander Intervention Model.

Students are welcome to register for individual workshops; however, a recognition of completion certificate will be awarded to students who complete all three workshops.
