North Island College and the North Island College Foundation value your contribution
to our students’ success and will work with you to ensure that your support is appropriately
recognized and that your wishes are honoured.
It is our responsibility to care for all gifts we receive in a way that respects
the intentions of our donors. We are accountable, transparent and believe in effective
communication with our donors, with the ultimate goal of establishing and maintaining
successful, long-term relationships.
Keeping Our Donors Informed
Endowment Fund Statement
Each spring, the Foundation mails endowment fund statements to donors. The statements
show the donation, matching, and interest totals for the past calendar year (January
1 to December 31).
Annual Award Confirmations
Donors of annually funded awards receive a letter in the fall asking to confirm
participation in the following year’s awards program. Donors are asked to confirm
by December 31 and forward their annual award cheque to the Foundation by March
31.
Award Recipient & Ceremony Information
Donors of both endowed and annually funded awards receive written notification of
the name(s) and program of award recipients along with an invitation to present
their award at one of our annual award ceremonies, which are held in May and June.
A commemorative photo of the presentation will be mailed to the donor shortly after
the ceremony, with a thank you note from the student(s).
