How To Register

Once you've found the course you want, you can register for all our Continuing Education and ElderCollege courses online, by mail, fax, or in person.

  1. Search Continuing Education Courses to view upcoming courses.
  2. When you have found your desired course, click Online Registration Available, located to the right of the course information. This takes you to our online registration form.
  3. Select your course type and location, enter your course code or title. Click "submit".

    ElderCollege membership: To participate in ElderCollege courses, you must become an ElderCollege member. To become a member, enter one of the following codes in the Course Code field:

    • CREC-0001 for Campbell River
    • CVEC-0001 for Comox Valley
    • PAEC-0001 for Port Alberni

  4. Check box beside your desired course(s). Click "submit".
  5. Fill out all remaining sections of the online form.

  2. Fill out all mandatory areas of the application,
  3. Drop off or mail the form to the Student Services office at your local campus, along with payment for your course fees.

Registration Policies

Course cancellations
The College reserves the right to cancel courses. Every effort is made to notify students, please ensure that your contact information is current. Refunds for cancelled courses will be processed automatically.

Fees
Tuition fees are payable in full to North Island College at the time of registration. We accept cash, cheques Visa, MasterCard or Amex. No post-dated cheques. Tuition fees include GST where applicable. Tuition and other fees are subject to change without prior notification.

Inclement weather
The college reserves the right to close the campus due to inclement weather. Please listen to your local radio station for campus closure due to inclement weather. Cancelled classes will be re-scheduled. All students will be notified of the new course dates on the next working day.

Refund policy
The College will return tuition to students who apply for a refund after the time of registration and seven days before the start date of the course or program unless stated otherwise.
