WHRS: Terry Jordan Reads at 2019 North Island Writers Conference

Award-winning writer Terry Jordan opens North Island Writers Conference with a free public reading on Friday, January 25 at the Stan Hagen Theatre.

Terry Jordan is an award-winning fiction writer, essayist, musician and dramatist whose stage plays have been produced across the country, in the US and Ireland. His book of stories It's a Hard Cow won a Saskatchewan Book Award and was nominated for the Commonwealth Book Prize. Jordan taught Creative Writing at Concordia University, Montreal, and was the first Margaret Laurence Fellow at Trent University. He is the current fiction and non-fiction editor for Grain Magazine.

Jordan will be joined by Alyssa Le Fort, the winner of the 2018 Three-Hour Fiction Contest.

Reception begins at 6:30 pm; readings start at 7 pm.
