PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

NIC's Interactive Media programs provide you with the skills you need for today and in the future. Part-time study is available but, because technology changes rapidly, you are encouraged to complete your studies as quickly as you can.

The Mobile Application Development certificate was one of the first in Canada. The certificate is ideally suited to students with previous programming experience, graduates of the Web Design certificate or programmers looking to expand their industry skills.

The Mobile Application Development certificate program will give you fundamental knowledge in web design and mobile application programming. You will learn front-end web programming and mobile application development.

You will explore new and emerging technologies and their impact on web and mobile application development. Upon graduation, you will possess the skills necessary to succeed in the rapidly developing mobile application industry.

The Mobile Application Development certificate counts as credit toward the Advanced Communication Design diploma, leading to a wide range of knowledge, opportunities and careers.

You are required to have sufficient hardware and software for completing coursework. Please review the supply list document for a complete description of technical requirements.

Admission Requirements

  1. C in one of Provincial English 12, English 12 First Peoples, NIC ENG-060, ENG-096, ENG-098, ESL-090 or equivalent; or English assessment testing. These requirements are the same as those for all other IMG programs.
