Program Highlights
Women’s studies is an interdisciplinary program built around a group of core courses. The role of gender in day-to-day life, in a Canadian and global context, and in theory and law is explored at various levels. Feminist theory, social justice, and evolving concepts of equity are explored. Students will also be introduced to historical experiences of womanhood and to literature written about, by and for women. Students who are interested in transfering their studies to a future degree should also explore the Associate of Arts degree with a women’s studies focus.
