How to Become a Member & Register in Courses

If you're interested in learning opportunities that enrich your lifestyle, why not become a member of ElderCollege? At ElderCollege, the learning process is lively, full of discussion, controversy and humour. No exams, no grades, no pressure!

The following steps will get you started.

Become a Member

ElderCollege membership is required for course registration. The annual fee is $10 (course fees are extra).

There are two ways to complete your membership:

  1. Using online registration:
    • Using the online registration form, simply choose the following:
      Course Type = choose ElderCollege
      Location = choose your campus location
      Single Keyword Search = type 'membership'
      then 'submit'
    • Click the check box beside ElderCollege membership, then 'submit'
    • Carefully fill out all remaining sections of the online form.
  2. Using the printed application form:
    • Download the form below or pick up a copy at your local campus:
      ElderCollege Membership & Registration form Acrobat
    • Carefully fill out all mandatory areas of the application
    • Drop off, mail in, or fax the form to the Student Services office on campus, along with your $10 membership fee

Choose Your Courses

There are three ways you can browse upcoming ElderColleges courses in your community:

  1. Visit your ElderCollege community page, where you can view/print a list of the latest courses.
  2. Use the Search for Courses tool online, which also displays detailed information such as instructor names, course dates, and room locations.
  3. Visit Continuing Education, or pick up the latest Continuing Education Catalogue pdf , which provides not only a detailed list of ElderCollege courses, but also a wealth of additional courses and programs available to you this season.

Register in Courses

There are two ways to register in courses:

  1. Using online registration:
    • Using the online registration form, simply choose the following:
      Course Type = choose ElderCollege
      Location = choose your campus location
      Course Code = this information is a combination of letters and numbers published in our course listings (ex. PAEC 6206)
      then 'submit'
    • Click the check box beside your desired courses, then 'submit'
    • Carefully fill out all remaining sections of the online form.
  2. Using the printed registration form:

Registration Policies

Course Changes
Courses dates are subject to change without notice. Please read your registration receipt carefully to ensure that you have the correct dates and times for your classes. Members cannot change courses once classes have begun.

Refund
To obtain a refund for a course in which you have registered, you must withdraw from the course no later than seven days prior to class commencement.
