Originally a Montrealer, I graduated from McGill University's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program in 2011. I began my career as a registered nurse working at the Montreal Children's Hospital on an acute medical inpatient unit, and eventually became a sessional clinical instructor for second year students in McGill's BSN Program. I moved to the Island in 2014 and have since continued to practice as a casual pediatric/medical/surgical nurse in the acute care environment.
Through the opportunities listed above, I realized teaching those entering the profession of nursing has become a passion. I began teaching in North Island College's BSN Program in 2015 and enrolled in graduate studies soon thereafter. With a vested interest in supporting the professional development and retention of our future nurses, much of my graduate studies have centred on new graduate nurse transitions. I am also very interested in simulation and enjoy working as the BSN Program's Learning Centre Coordinator on a part-time, sessional basis.
