After earning a BA in English at Trent University in Ontario, Sheree-Lee was awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship by the British Council and completed an MA in Twentieth Century British and American Poetry at the University of Sussex. She taught at Trent University and Southwest China University in Sichuan before moving to Vancouver Island in 2004 and taking a position in the English department at North Island College. Her research interests are writing by pioneer women in 19th century Ontario and the neo-romantic movement in poetry in the 1930’s and 40’s. She was a research assistant on Susanna Moodie: Letters of Lifetime, University of Toronto Press, and co-authored Notes on the Preparation of Essays in the Arts and Sciences, Trent University. She is currently the chair of the English department.
