Become an ECE Assistant over spring break

High school students interested in working with young children can be ready to work this summer with a special spring break course offering at NIC.

ECC-168 Health, Safety and Nutrition is being offered from March 16-20 for both high school and community members interested in starting work in the field of early childhood care and education.

The course provides opportunities for students to examine overall health, safety and nutritional practice in early childhood settings.  Attention will also be given to personal wellness, modeling and promoting healthy and safe environments for young children.

This course will prepare you to work in ECE centres as an assistant educator and lets you get a head start on your ECCE certificate.

High school students can apply through your career counsellors at your school.

All others interested should contact an NIC educational advisor to register.
