NIC summer camps allow students aged 9 to 12 to explore coding and robotics while learning vital science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills.

Thanks to the Campbell River Mirror for a great story and photos on our new Tech Explorers Camp, which allows kids to try coding, LEGO robotics and snap circuits in a hands-on, fun environment.

NIC also offers Lego Robotics Camps, where participants build, program and control robots. These summer camps are offered across the NIC region, including Port Hardy, Port Alberni, Gold River, Ucluelet, Campbell River and the Comox Valley.

"I think it's really important to have fun in whatever you’re learning because you're engaged, and then you want to be able to take that further," said instructor Meiko Matsumoto in the story.
