NIC trades sampler will explore culinary and related skills

This trades sampler explores the culinary world, including baking, professional cooking and even growing your own produce.

High school students can explore the culinary industry and try out other skills in an upcoming youth trades sampler at NIC’s Campbell River campus.

In addition, students earn their WHMIS, OFA Level 1 and FoodSafe certifications during this sampler.

The sampler program provides an introduction to the health and safety standards and requirements for today’s worksite environment, as well as a pathway to further foundation and apprenticeship training offered at NIC.

The program runs Jan. 27 to April 4 and is held Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. The cost is $550.
