Jeannie Cameron has been teaching mathematics and statistics at North Island College since 2010. Jeannie completed the first year of a PhD program in Applied Mathematics at the University of Alberta before taking a hiatus from math to study music at Douglas College and UBC. Jeannie has also worked at the Atlantic Center for Remote Sensing of the Oceans in Halifax, Nova Scotia and spent a summer working at the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics at the National Research Council in Ottawa (getting to have afternoon tea with Gerhard Herzberg himself). As a member of the Math/Science department at NIC, Jeannie enjoys teaching math and connecting with a wide variety of students from all over the world.
