In this fast-paced and exciting workshop, a continuation of Silver Jewellery Express I, you will be creating two more sterling silver projects. Learn new techniques such as advanced fabrication and soldering, creating a cabochon setting for a ring and setting the stone with accuracy. We will be adding texture by introducing surface ornamentation techniques using our studio stamps and hammers, fusing with metal, and coloring with patinas. Advance your skills and reignite your creative process in a creative group atmosphere. Note: Materials are provided and included in the price. This is a one-day course designed for beginners. Sawing, Stone Setting, Polishing and Introduction to Soldering will be taught. Students should being an apron, closed glasses and lunch.

Fancy Beach Glass Pendant with precious stone is a one day course, designed for beginners. Sawing, stone setting, polishing and introduction to soldering will be taught. Also, students will learn how to drill safely though beach-glass and how to set a stone into beach-glass. Students may also bring their own beach-glass, if preferred. Great for beginners as beginner level techniques will be taught including a no solder stone setting technique.

In this program we will delve into the world of jade and hardstone carving. Students will learn cost effective ways to inspect, cut, grind, carve and polish beautiful gemstone pendants. Learn a variety of techniques and what each bit and tool does in an interactive group demo where we will go over a few simple designs. Class will include a brief overview of the gemological and physical properties of BC jade for design purposes.
