NIC 2019 Student Leadership Retreat - Honest Conversations

This two-day event is an opportunity for students to gather in a fun, safe environment to learn more about supporting mental health in yourself and others. The retreat takes place at Camp Homewood on beautiful Quadra Island and will be led by dynamic, local professionals who work in the fields of mental health and life coaching.

The retreat is open to all students. You’ll learn strategies to support your mental health, including tools to cope with stress, prevent burnout and become a better communicator. This retreat is also a chance to support the mental well-being of those around you.

You’ll learn how to support friends in crisis, access resources for help and use community-building strategies to encourage kindness, inclusiveness and connectedness on campus.

As part of the retreat, we’ll gather your anonymous feedback on how NIC can better support students’ mental well-being. NIC’s Student Leadership Team will use your input to create and present a report to the Senior Education Team at NIC.

Register by filling out an application form and paying the registration fee at any NIC Registration Office. Space is limited — don’t wait!
