Join Taryn O'Flanagan, executive director of the Vancouver Island Mental Health Society, and integrated life coach Mia Jerritt as they guide you with information and self-care and stress reduction techniques.
The retreat is open to all students. You’ll learn strategies to support your mental health, including tools to cope with stress, prevent burnout and become a better communicator. This retreat is also a chance to support the mental well-being of those around you.
You’ll learn how to support friends in crisis, access resources for help and use community-building strategies to encourage kindness, inclusiveness and connectedness on campus.
As part of the retreat, we’ll gather your anonymous feedback on how NIC can better support students’ mental well-being. NIC’s Student Leadership Team will use your input to create and present a report to the Senior Education Team at NIC.
Register by filling out an application form and paying the registration fee at any NIC Registration Office. Space is limited — don’t wait!
