Study Nuu-Chah-Nulth this winter at NIC

Join us Introduction to Nuu-chah-nulth Language II, Wednesday evenings, starting January 6

Taught by NIC instructor hinatinyis (Huu-ay-aht) in the Barkley dialect, Introduction to Nuu-chah-nulth Language II will focus on advancing skills learned in Nuu-chah-nulth I: listening techniques, comparing and contrasting Nuu-chah-nulth and English sounds, patterns and pronunciation which will lead to words, phrases and sentence building exercises for conversational Nuu-chah-nulth for various topics. There will also be an introduction to Nuu-chah-nulth cultural protocols. 

Offered in a digital scheduled format, students will participate in a digital classroom, using a video conferencing system, as well as completing some independent work. Students, instructors and language speakers will meet at specified times each week. Computer and internet connection are required.

This course is tuition-free and is offered through NIC's Adult Basic Education Program
