FIN-217 Screen Printing

4 hours, includes lecture + studio time 3 credits

Various methods and techniques of screen printing will be explored including photographic and autographic stencil making. An extensive study of studio practices relating to equipment and tools will be undertaken. Exploration of the medium as an artistic method of expression will be part of this course. The printing of editions and monoprints will be considered. Additional Information: 1) Material Kit: Students will be required to pick up a material kit for specific assignments. Students unable to pick up material kit in person will be required to purchase their own materials for the assignments. 2) Supply List: Instructor will provide a supply list one month prior to class start date. Students are required to purchase these supplies.


  • Completion of FIN 115, IMG 105, or DGL 102.
