Prepare now for summer employment as a wildland firefighter. Develop essential knowledge in wildfire preparedness and operations, including BC Forest Service certifications in fire suppression and entrapment avoidance. As a graduate, you will possess the skills, knowledge and certification required for entry-level employment as a crew member on a wildland fire crew in BC.

You must complete all courses in the program with a passing grade.
Like all firefighters, applicants for the program must be physically fit and willing to participate in a structured fitness plan.

The BC Wildfire Crew Member Training program is designed to give you the introductory theory and practical skills needed to become a wildland firefighter.

The program is delivered over 16 consecutive weekdays and is comprised of instructor-led theory and practical application. Classes run four days a week, 8:30 am to 5 pm.
