Faculty Profile - Ivan Peterson

Since I started at North Island College in 2011, it has been very exhilarating and inspiring to teach welding students. Here at NIC, we have a strong team to ensure the success of our students. Our welding students are engaged in many exciting and challenging shop activities. I do my absolute best to ensure your success whether you're enrolled in the Foundation Level, Level B or Level A programs, including all of the Apprenticeship Levels. To support all of those levels I am a Welder Level A, with the Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement, I hold a number of ASME pipe pressure certification which include PWP 7, PWP 10 and the BCP-100 as well as an Alberta B pressure ticket. I am currently a CWB inspector certified to CSA W 178.2 with code endorsements of ASME B31.3, CSA W47.1 and CSA W59. To complement those welding skills I have a Provincial Instructors Diploma. I am definitely looking forward to meeting you in the near future, I love welding with students, so please come join me here at NIC.
