Hello NIC students,

It’s November and colder weather is on the way. If you are driving, make sure you have good all season tires and a few supplies in the car such as a blanket, water and first aid kit. You just never know when they might come in handy! November is also known as Movember where mustaches are grown and men’s health awareness is highlighted. It’s also Apprenticeship Recognition month so read on for more details!

Each November, the Province & Industry Training Authority (ITA) celebrate the contributions trades apprentices make to their communities, which is made possible by the amazing support of our NIC faculty. Throughout the month, you'll see stories & info featured on NIC's Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn feeds. Please comment, like & share in support of NIC apprenticeship students!

Finding, Evaluating & Citing Sources – Library & Learning Commons Events

These sessions will cover topics such as how to find, evaluate, and incorporate sources both effectively and ethically. Bring your research questions and work-in-progress for personalized help! Register now and join virtually or face-to-face.

Sandwiches!

If you don’t have time to make a meal, how about preparing a healthy sandwich to get you through a long study session? Here are a few of our favourites:

Take two slices of your favourite bread, add your toppings and you have a quick and easy meal!

  • Peanut butter and jam
  • Cream cheese and sliced cucumber
  • Ham and cheese and mustard
  • Bacon, lettuce and tomato
