Greenhouse Propagation and Production

This course introduces students to greenhouse operations and production techniques. The course covers plant science, soil science, pest identification and control, irrigation, humidity, plant propagation, pruning and seeding. Hydroponics, aquaponics, building materials, glazing and tool use are also covered. Students will learn to grow transplants in a greenhouse, as well as how to propagate crops in greenhouses. They will also learn about different season extension techniques for vegetable production.
