Criminology

Criminology involves the study of crime, and criminal behaviour.

Criminology is an interdisciplinary field in both the behavioural and social sciences; it is a body of knowledge regarding crime as a social phenomenon. It includes within its scope the process of making laws, breaking laws and the reaction to breaking laws and systems impacts.

Register in Criminology Courses

Before you can register in a course, you must be accepted into an NIC program. You can study Criminology through the following programs, or as an elective from any NIC program:

Career Opportunities

Studying criminology is the appropriate program on the way to careers in the criminal justice system or related fields, such as policing, corrections, probation, youth court worker and more. The two-year Criminology diploma program is the first step to moving on to a degree in Criminology or other social science Bachelor degrees.
