Obtain the necessary certification to work in the food service industry. This foundational course is available year-round, throughout the region. NIC is proud to offer FoodSafe training that is endorsed by the BC Centre for Disease Control, the BC Regional Health Authorities, the BC Restaurant and Food Services Association and WorkSafe BC.

FoodSafe covers the information you need to know to ensure you’re handling food in a safe way - whether you’re preparing food for yourself or others. FoodSafe is also a prerequisite for applying for jobs in a wide variety of industries including custodial work, home support, the film industry, the marine industry, the food industry and volunteer opportunities.
