Youth Train in Trades is an Industry Training Authority approved youth program which allows students to earn high school graduation credits,
foundation trades (pre-apprentice) credentials and workplace hours required for trade certification while still in high school. That means learning from experts while gaining high school graduation credits.

Apply now in three easy steps
- Step 1: Complete the Youth Train in Trades application form. Note: the Youth Train in Trades - additional instructions and resources are not required for your submission to NIC; they are optional extra resources.
Your school counsellor will assist you with completing the application, and will help you gather signatures from your parents and all relevant school district personnel.
- Step 2: Give the form to your high school counsellor
Dates may vary according to the course or program, so check with your counsellor for the correct deadline for the program that interests you.
- Step 3: Your high school counsellor will submit your application to NIC Admissions
If you meet the admission requirements, you will be sent an acceptance letter and information about registration will be included.
