The expansion is thanks to a $3.64-million investment by the province over the next two years, which will create 418 new health care assistant seats.
At NIC, the additional Health Care Assistant certificate seats will be distributed as follows:
Campbell River campus
$147,000 investment, 20 additional seats
Comox Valley campus
$132,000 investment, 20 additional seats
Mixalakwila (Port Hardy) campus
$66,000 investment, 10 additional seats
