NIC is aware that StudentAid BC is currently experiencing a disruption in service delivery. We offer emergency funding support for students who require short-term financial assistance. For more information, please connect with a Financial Aid Advisor.

Financing your education can feel overwhelming but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Our financial aid advisors are here to support you with student loans, grants, awards and emergency funding. Whether you’re planning ahead or facing unexpected challenges, we offer a range of services to help you manage your finances and focus on your studies with confidence.

  • understanding the process of applying for student aid
  • creating a balanced budget
  • reviewing funding options, such as apprentice funding, sponsorship and awards
  • applying for emergency assistance

Set up direct deposit via myNIC

You can have payments from NIC to go right to your bank account in a few simple steps.

1. Login to myNIC. Select "Banking information," then "Add an account."

2. Toggle the "Refund, reimbursement and payment deposit" option and select "next" to continue.

3. Enter your banking details and click "submit."

You're all set! You can cancel direct deposit at any time by emailing ar.nic@nic.bc.ca
