NIC School of Business Newsletter Fall 2018

MESSAGE FROM YOUR CHAIR - Building Partnerships

We successfully expanded our business programs in Campbell River and we continue to partner with employers in the region to offer exciting internship and co-op opportunities.

Our expanded selection of business courses in Campbell River has also seen us welcome students from around the world, including India, the Netherlands, Philippines, Israel, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Mauritius and China. The School of Business continues to collaborate with the Office of Global Engagement to build and enhance partnerships with European colleges and universities as well.

We will continue to offer more business courses in Campbell River for the 2019-2020 academic year. During spring and summer 2019, we will be offering additional course options for students at our Comox Valley campus.

We also look forward to an increased presence in high schools and the community as we step up recruitment efforts.

On a personal note, I am pleased to be part of NIC’s College Plan20-25 Committee, which will guide the development of a new five-year plan for NIC.

As always, I want to give our students the opportunity to work with local businesses on projects. If you have a suitable project, please let me know. I also encourage you to add me to your professional network on LinkedIn or email me at ali.mayboudi@nic.bc.ca.

Sincerely,
Ali Mayboudi,
Chair, NIC School of Business
