50 years of supporting students
Play audio:
For 50 years, thousands of students have found their way to North Island College. While each journey is unique, there’s a common experience that ties them all together — our commitment to their success. NIC is dedicated to making sure all students are supported by a network of people, services and that support begins before the first day of class and continues well after graduation.
From initial guided campus tours to the support systems that carry them through their time at college, such as learning resources, Indigenous services and student life activities, the NIC experience is intended to be both personal and empowering.
When it comes to supporting students, graduation is far from the end. NIC’s alumni network, career supports and community partnerships continue to provide value well into the next chapter - whether that’s work, further study or a chance to give back.
Now, as NIC marks its 50th anniversary, we’re looking forward. With the introduction of a formal Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) framework, NIC is taking a responsive approach to aligning programs and services with the evolving needs of students, communities and the labour market.
From the very first question to long after the last exam, NIC’s commitment to students runs deep and continues to grow stronger year after year.
