From marine training to beer brewing, North Island College’s Continuing Education programs have always reflected the needs and goals of the people we serve.

For more than 50 years, the college has supported learners at every stage of life, including those building careers, switching directions, upskilling for the future or exploring new interests just for the joy of it. Our programs are designed to meet learners where they are, whether that’s in a Campbell River classroom, a mobile kitchen in the Comox Valley or a job site in Port Alberni.

This work also happens in partnership. From Indigenous communities identifying local skills needs, to businesses co-developing training that leads to real jobs, NIC’s approach to continuing education is rooted in listening, adapting and delivering.

As we celebrate NIC’s 50th, we honour the impact of Continuing Education across our region and look forward to all the ways learning will continue to shape lives and communities in the decades to come.
