Reach out to an educational advisor to work on the best education path for you.
Start by applying to NIC’s University Studies program through EducationPlannerBC. There aren’t any formal admission requirements, but some courses have prerequisites—usually a minimum C grade in English 12. If you don’t meet the requirements or don’t have high school transcripts, NIC offers upgrading and assessment options.
Once you’re in, complete at least eight courses while keeping a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Check the BC Transfer Guide to ensure your courses align with the required courses for your intended degree or major at UVic. You can use the BC Transfer Guide to check what transfers easily, and an educational advisor can help you map out a plan to keep you on track.
