Janelle Karatsikis

With more than 24 years of experience in health care and 22 years in nursing, I have had the privilege of working in a wide range of clinical settings, including medical float teams, hospice care, long-term care, and veterans’ care. Much of my nursing career was spent at Broadmead Lodge in Victoria, where I dedicated 17 years to providing compassionate, resident-centered care before relocating to be closer to family.

For the past six years, I have been proud to serve as an instructor with North Island College, where I am passionate about educating future Health Care Assistants (HCAs). I am committed to delivering high-quality education and preparing students to become professional, accountable, reliable, and compassionate caregivers who positively impact the lives of those they support.

As a lifelong learner, I am currently completing my Provincial Instructor Diploma and pursuing End of Life Doula training. I strongly value continuous personal and professional growth and believe in sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and giving back to both the health care profession and the community.
