Overview

In this program, you'll gain the fundamentals of building service work, including:

  • Cleaning techniques to prevent viral and bacterial disease
  • Hard floor care and commercial carpet cleaning
  • WHIMIS, FoodSafe and Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification or Red Cross Emergency First Aid

You'll develop the skills needed to maintain clean and safe environments across various industries.

Schedule

The upcoming cohort in Port Alberni will run Nov. 17 - 27, 2025.

Classes are in-person and will run from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

  • BSW-055 - Building Service Worker Fundamentals (Level 1)
  • BSW-060 - Building Service Worker Level 2 - Hard Floor Care
  • BSW-070 - Building Service Worker Level 3 - Commercial Carpet Cleaning
  • OFA-001 - WHMIS
  • TFS-010 - FoodSafe
  • OFA-010 - OFA Level 1 or
    • FAC 020 - Red Cross Emergency First Aid

 

Costs

Tuition for this program is $2,700.
