Overview
The Hospital Unit Clerk Certificate program is designed for entry-level healthcare employment or skills enhancement for current healthcare professionals.You'll learn:
- The role of unit clerks in healthcare teams
- Medical terminology and professional communication in hospital settings
- Medication classification, identification, and body systems vocabulary
- Effective communication, particularly in transcription of physicians’ orders
- Knowledge of dietary information, diagnostic imaging, respiratory care, physical and occupational medicine, and medication
The program integrates theory with practical experience through a work practicum, ensuring you can apply your skills in a real-world hospital environment.
