Overview
The UVic Dual Admission program lets you start your studies at NIC with lower tuition while meeting UVic’s program requirements. Open to Canadian and international students from BC high schools in the NIC region, it offers a smooth transfer to UVic programs in areas like engineering, computer science, humanities, sciences, social sciences, visual arts, child and youth care and art history.
How It Works:
- Apply through NIC using the UVic dual admission application by January 31st.
- Gain acceptance from both NIC and UVic.
- Take up to two years (60 credits) of NIC courses and transfer to UVic within three years.
Each Winter term, NIC will check if you plan to transfer to UVic in September. We’ll coordinate your transfer, send your NIC transcripts to UVic for free, and UVic will provide registration details and confirm course transfers.
You have up to three years to transfer, but spaces are limited, so meeting both NIC and UVic requirements is necessary. After applying, you can meet with an educational advisor to explore your transfer options.
Careers
Dual Admission with UVic opens doors to diverse career paths, from engineering and computer science to opportunities in the humanities and beyond.
